John Whitmire:
leiter asks for an AOS in each case. i'm not sure what to include besides Continental for Dana and Lucio. For myself, it should be Philosophy and Literature; for Chris, i assume Environmental Philosophy/Ethics; Farhang, do you list Social-Political? "Continental" should probably go first in any case for all of these, for emphasis. i'm out of town again for the weekend, so i'll leave that up to y'all.

here's the link to the page this has to be posted on:

I vote that Farhang posts this stuff rather than me, since I have no direct connection to the process...

John Whitmire:
okay, guys, i'm going with this. hopefully i don't post anything wrong, but all of these hires, at least, have been confirmed by john carvalho. here goes...

John Whitmire:
i wonder what kind of response, if any, that will generate from leiter. he clearly hasn't checked that page lately, or he would've notice the "shannon hoff (stonybrook)" posted 4 times... i have to say, it's nice to see 5 villanovans listed like that. hopefully john or whomever he puts in charge of the website will update the villanova placement page soon, because i think we definitely need to link it here.

While it is seemingly the case that he hasn't checked that page in a while, you might have noticed that your name is now at the head of the list of recent posts, which is relatively prominent on the main site. It will possibly be there for a while, since he doesn't open most posts for comments. I have to say, though, that it will generate any response.

John Whitmire:
ah, i hadn't noticed that. well, that's interesting, in any case -- maybe some folks will link to it from there and see how we've been doing.

Farhang Erfani (mail):
Sorry, fellows, for being out of touch/out of blog. We went to DC for a few days (still no concrete result in terms of housing) so I did not get to see this exchange. Thanks to John for posting on Leiter.

I hope to write a little blurb on the Iranian election to put up on the blog, if the blog-meister is ok with this kind of tangentially philosophical discourse.

J.C. Berendzen:
I have been interested to hear your thoughts on the Iranian election, so I am looking forward to your post.

Also, and I can't stress this enough, we are all the blog-meisters!
