directors (revised)
incidentally, i just did a little count of phd's and abd's still around the program. these are the directors; please correct me in comments if i'm wrong, and if you know for sure some of the ones i'm unclear on. by my count, we've got 18 phd's conferred, and 11 abd's at the moment.
caputo: jennifer, jamie smith, darin, michael andrews, dana, john, adam (abd), andrea (abd), greg (abd), danny (abd), mike brogan (abd)
busch: chris, joe, farhang, seth (abd), matt (abd), naz (abd ???)
schmidt: matthias, ted, shannon, jamey findling, ammon
brogan: sarah, lucio, mike shaw (abd)
carvalho: josh (abd), andy (abd ???)
scholz: steve
mccartney: tim
edited to reflect comments below. do we think naz and andy gallinger are ABD or not?
also: my understanding is that mike brogan may or may not actually complete the program at this point; that's why i didn't include him initially. but i suppose i had andy on there, so i've added mike brogan, as well.

Greg, Dan Greenspan and Mike Brogan are abd and working with Caputo.
Josh is abd and is working with John Carvalho.
A few have passed comps but have not defended their proposals yet.
Incidentally, here is the link for the placement page, which needs updating and it is not currently linked from anywhere!
There is a link to that placement page, but the route to it is rediculously circuitous and byzantine (I think it is under "procedures" or something like that under information for prospective grad students). As has been commented on already, that site really needs reworking...
as for danny, i'm not sure of the date he went abd, but he is writing on kierkegaard and, i believe, has a fulbright to denmark for next year. i guess he spent a year working on his danish to do SK hardcore.
as an aside, is there a way to organize posts into categories? i think we could use both "professional" and "philosophical" categories to start, since things like may not be (directly, at least) philosophically relevant.
