Just a note that I know most of the faculty at Salisbury University (my undergraduate alma mater), so if anyone is thinking about sending an application there I would be happy to talk with you about their program. All my info. is at the UWSP.edu philosophy faculty page.

I'd also be happy to talk off-the-record (and off-blog) about Loyola Marymount if anyone is considering it (that was my first tenure-track appointment). I could also give local info about Grand Rapids for anyone considering the Grand Valley post (though, unfortunately, I don't know that department--but I gather that one of the faculty members is a Villanova alum [from the old M.A. program?]). In addition to these listings, I noticed at the AAR website that Boston University is hiring someone and would be open to "continental philosophy of religion" if that fits anyone. Here's the complete listing (since it's behind an AAR membership wall, which I'm guessing not many bother with):

BOSTON UNIVERSITY Department of Religion invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Philosophy of Religion. Successful candidates will have relevant research languages, strong background in the history of philosophy, and substantial training in the academic study of religion. Area specialization is open but ability to teach courses in medieval philosophy of religion (Christianity or Islam), Continental philosophy of religion, non-western philosophy of religion, postmodern theory, and/or ethics is desirable. Applicants should send a letter of application, CV, writing sample, evidence of teaching excellence, and three letters of reference to: Search Committee Chair, Department of Religion/ Boston University/ 145 Bay State Road/ Boston, MA 02215. Application deadline is November 5, 2007. Preliminary interviews will be held at the AAR/SBL Annual Meetings in San Diego, CA. Boston University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
